  CareNest Nanny Agency was founded by Maria J. Torres, originally from Nicaragua. My passion for childcare began in 2001 when I helped my grandmother run her daycare. I watched her pour love, patience, and dedication into every child making sure they were well-fed, happy, and engaged while their parents worked. Seeing the joy she brought to children inspired me to follow in her footsteps.

  I began babysitting to help pay for my college tuition while studying Child Development, knowing that working with children was my true calling. Over the years, I gained hands-on experience caring for children of all ages, helping them grow, learn, and build confidence. My goal has always been to become a professional caregiver who supports each child’s development from communication skills to creativity while ensuring they feel safe, understood, and valued.

  As time went on, many families including highly influential families in important professional fields began reaching out to me for nanny recommendations.
